Navigation on Bodmin
Bodmin Moor has 200 square kilometres of open moorland, complete with grassy tussocks, views out over the Cornish coastlines and according to the legends, its own beast prowling the countryside! As the Adventure Eyes Walking on Bodmin Moor Guide states, it may not be as big as Dartmoor but it certainly has a character of its own, and it provides ample opportunity to work on your navigation skills.
Whether you’re new to hill walking and want to know the basics of how to use a map and compass, or if you need to perfect your navigation skills ready for an assessment, we can work with you to achieve your ambitions.
The VIXON team pride ourselves on a taking a calm, progressive approach to navigation training. We take time to make sure the basic skills are understood and use games and exercises to consolidate your learning. Operating in small groups or on a 1:1 basis also means that you can really focus on your skills and it reduces the pressure that some people feel when they’re navigating in front of others.
